Spot Color Capture allows you to record any spot color from a swatchbook or other color sample, simply by clicking on it with your handheld colorimeter. Once the color is read, the CIE Lab values are entered automatically in Wasatch SoftRIP's Color Database. Every color swatchbook in your office is now a potential digital database of accurate CIE Lab entries.
When you are ready to print, the CIE Lab values in your color databases are sent directly to the ICC color profile for your output device. This streamlined approach bypasses the confusion and loss of accuracy that can result from managing input profiles. And it's a lot easier and faster. You'll match those named and numbered spot colors with all the accuracy your ICC device profiles can deliver.
