Wasatch Computer Technology
Releases SoftRIP Version 5.0

October 9, 2003—Salt Lake City, UT—Wasatch Computer Technology has announced the release of Wasatch SoftRIP Version 5.0. This new version includes a streamlined User Interface, easy setup, single screen ICC color controls, single screen queue management, a new archiving feature, and more.

The Streamlined User Interface makes job setup and color management easy. SoftRIP's "flatter" architecture consolidates key functions into easy-to-use master screens. Not only can users set up and print in literally seconds, they can access even the most advanced features within one or two clicks.

The Industry's Easiest Setup Screen is so easy that users simply need to pick a printer, pick an Imaging Configuration, pick a physical connection, and they're ready to RIP.

Imaging Configurations have taken SoftRIP's plug-and-play to a new level. With all ink, media, resolution, calibration, and other print scenario data in one setting, users simply choose the imaging configuration that best matches their print condition and they're ready to go.

Single Screen ICC Color Controls: The revolutionary Color Transforms screen interactively displays and controls the entire ICC workflow on one screen.

Single Screen Queue Management: The master Queues screen acts as a command station, letting users manage both RIP and Print queues for all four printers at a single glance. Checking job status, changing priorities, moving jobs between queues, and changing set up options are only a click away.

Improved Calibration and Screening: New Precision Stochastic Screens significantly improve RIP speed and tonal rendering.

New Archiving Feature: The Print Archive utility gives users the flexibility to back up RIP'd files from their print queue with drag and drop ease.

Trouble-Free Trouble-Shooting: All you do is press 'Upload' and our Tech Support team takes over! SoftRIP helps you solve technical problems faster: the new Service Data Uploader tool automates transmission of key system configuration information and problem files to Wasatch customer service via the Internet. No expertise in FTP or other technology is required.
