ENHANCED INK CONTROLS

OPTIMIZE HI–FI OUTPUT

Wasatch SoftRIP allows the insertion of a Color Separation Rule between ICC color processing and output.

This feature is designed and most commonly used to provide extra control for Hi–Fi color devices, including intelligent ink limiting. These controls provide additional flexibility for operators of Hi–Fi printers, allowing the specification of hundreds of different rules for color separation. In situations involving Hi–Fi color or ink limiting, these controls can provide a powerful supplement to the capabilities of your ICC profiling software.

  • Ink limit controls help maximize performance of inexpensive and exotic media.
  • Controls allow operator to specify hundreds of separation rules.
  • Users can profile Hi–Fi printers as 'virtual RGB' or 'virtual CMYK' machines.
  • Allows users to set Maximum Primary Ink Color, Total Ink at Black Point, Black Cutoff, and Chromatic Gray Balance.
