Inkjet printers from companies such as Epson, HP, Mimaki, and Roland are able to output dots of different volumes at every point. These printers are able to output four different dot sizes, making prints look smoother, sharper, and "less grainy" than would be possible with fixed dot (on or off) halftoning.
