Support for the MultiCam devices is available as an optional add-on for Wasatch.
Special note: Using the spot color name 'cutregister' will allow for placing registration marks within a file. In your design application use the spot color 'cutregister' as the fill. SoftRIP will print the mark and send the location to the MultiCam device for registration.
Pressing the Properties button next to the Printer Model window on the
Imaging Configurations screen will launch a control panel for this printer.
Rotation: Allows for the cut data to be rotated independent of the printed data. This will allow for prints to be produced at 8' by 4' and cut with the orientation of 4' by 8'.
Naming Convention: Allows a custom name to be created using Job Name, Index (Print Queue index), Date, and Time.
Destination Folder: Location to write output file.
Note: Selecting the MultiCam Marks will place the proper registration marks on the print, in addition to barcodes printed with their appropriate file index number associated with the print. This barcode can then be scanned by the MultiCam software, and the appropriate cut file will be opened.
On the Print -> Setup window checking the control Cutting Registration Marks and selecting MultiCam marks will launch the window below.
Interval: Enabling this control will create repeating registration marks down the length of a print.
Set Maximum Cutting Mark Interval: Set the distance between eaach of the interval marks.
Register Mark Size: Set the size for each registration mark (6 - 8mm).
Add Barcode to Marks: Enabling this control will produce barcodes in addition to registration marks.
Barcode Stretch: Entering a value greater than 100 will stetch the printed barcode.
Barcode Prefix: This control will add a prefix to each barcode.
