Important Notes:
- To use this print driver, an additional registration code is required.
- Remember that color reproduction is controlled by ICC color profiles, and not by Wasatch software. We have not been able to get these printers into our lab, and therefore we have not been able to create any color profiles for them. You should contact your dealer for further support with ICC color profiles, or arrange to produce your own.
- Because of lack of access to this printer, Wasatch's service department cannot provide the same level of support that we provide for most other printers. Please rely on your dealer for support of this device.
Print mode option:
Pressing the Properties button next to the Printer Model window on the
Imaging Configurations screen will launch a control panel for this printer.
- Colors: Select the inkset to use during printing.
- Print Order: Set the order of the colors to be printed (Only available in certain color modes).
- Print Mode: Select the desired print resolution.
- Pass Factor: Select the desired number of passes to use during printing.
- Print Direction: Choose to print in one direction (Uni-direction) for the best print quality or to print in both directions (Bi-direction) for faster printing.
- High Speed Mode: Enable or disable high speed mode.
- Dot Type: Select from Fixed or Variable dot types. (If Available)
- Dot Size: Select the size of the selected dot type. (If Available)
- Destination Folder: Select the location of the output when printing to file.
Advanced:
When you click on Advanced, the following settings page will be displayed:
- UV lamp power: Select the power of the UV lamp for curing.
- Band overlap: Specify a value of 0-20 for "weaving". This control is used to improve quality.
- X and Y Position: X and Y Position is to control the origin point for the print to start.
- Media Thickness: Specify the thickness of the media.
- Create preview image file: Enable or disable a preview image being created upon output of print file.
- Print color bar (left side): Enable or disable the creation of a left color stripes.
- Print color bar (right side): Enable or disable the creation of a right color stripes.
Auto-Generation:
When you click on Auto-Generation, the following settings page will be displayed:
- Spot Colors: Select the appropriate auto generation for the spot color.
- No Auto-Generate: The spot color is not printed unless specified through a "spot color replacement".
- Auto-Generate where other inks are used: Prints the spot color on all non-zero pixels(marked areas).
- Auto-Generate the entire page: Prints the spot color on the entire image.
- Generate from traced areas: The spot color will be applied only to the traced areas that have been set using the Trace tab in the main SoftRIP interface.
- Choke/Spread: Choose the necessary amount of choke or spread for the spot color.
Note: A choke shrinks the spot color in relation to the printed area.
Note: A spread expands the spot color in relation to the printed area.
