Mimaki JV-1300 and Mimaki TIJ-50
The Mimaki JV-1300 can be operated in either 360 or 720 dpi mode. Be sure that if you select 720 mode, you also select a color configuration that is intended for that resolution. Otherwise, you will probably encounter problems with too much ink being applied to the substrate. Remember that 720 will take much longer to RIP and may not produce any real improvement in quality. Use your own judgment.
It is up to you to set the number of ink layers on the front panel of the
printer. Unless you have an Imaging Configuration that is specifically designed
otherwise, set this to One.
'Dry time' can also be set from the front panel. Usually a dry time of zero will be satisfactory. If you have trouble with "puddling" ink, increasing this setting will probably help.
Use the Mimaki TIJ-50 in much the same manner as described above for the
JV-1300.
