Sharing Imaging Configurations

In order to match color between different Wasatch SoftRIP systems, it is necessary to share imaging configurations.

Find these three selections on the "Tools" menu:

The tool for "Export" creates a "zip" file containing the configuration for the current print unit. If custom inksets are involved, they are included. This file contains enough information to completely specify where everything goes.

These "zip" files can be shared across a local area network, sent as email attachments, or shared in whatever other manner is convenient.

When the "zip" file reaches the system where the imaging configuration is to be installed, opening it with the "Import" tool will instantly install the complete configuration, ready to use.

The imaging configurations found in the Wasatch Cloud have the same format, and the "Download" tool can be used to get copies without installing them. This can be handy if imaging configurations need to be downloaded for installation on a Wasatch system that is not connected to the Internet.
