Main Color Menu

Main Color Menu

Launch the Main Color Menu shown above from the Color button at the top of the Main Screen. This menu provides access to most SoftRIP color functions.

Correction Curves

Selecting Color Correction launches the Correction Curves window, which allows changes to image lightness and hue adjustments for individual jobs.

Special Colors

Launches the Special Colors screen and access to the Spot Color Replacement toolset, Spot Color Capture and the Color Database utility.

System Default ICC Profiles

SoftRIP's default input and monitor profiles can be operator defined.

Show Colors As Percentage

This toggle switch controls how color values are displayed in the Info tab and other utilities. When not checked, color values are shown using the 0 - 255 scale.

Approximate Device Spot Color Display

Set to attempt to display device colors for which no color transforms are known.

Color Database

Launches the Color Database menu, which allows you to choose and edit an existing color database, or create a new one.

Profile View

The 3D profile viewer helps you visualize your available range of colors in 3D CIE L*a*b* color space, seeing which colors can be reached, and which will be "mapped" by your ICC profiles. This view will provide an indication of the shape of the mapping that will be performed by your ICC profiles.

Color Atlas

The Color Atlas Generator allows you to create a PostScript file of a set of color patches.

Color Neighborhood Test Pattern

Generate a set of color patches close to a particular color.

Special Colors Swatchbook

This will output a swatch book of any named special colors in your current imaging configuration.
